Film & TV Investments, North America:
James joined Cutting Edge Group in 2006, establishing a US operation for the London-based firm and currently manages US investments for the company’s music-for-film fund.
James began his career in the film and television business at the BBC in London, England and subsequently spent the following 20 years working on over 25 feature films and television dramas/shows. James rapidly moved up the ranks to become Line Producer on various TV drama series including the award winning “The Knock” for LWT /Granada.
James went on to produce a number of films in the UK including “Darkness Falls” and heist caper “Circus” for Sony Pictures, staring John Hannah, Famke Janssen and Eddie Izzard. He then moved to Los Angeles where he worked on film projects for various studios including Working Title, Universal, Yari Film Group, Fox Searchlight, Sony, Gold Circle and Overture Films.
James also created and produced a 10pt comedy TV series for VH1 titled "Home James" and is currently executive producing a number of US-based films with leading independent producers.
