Phil Hope has broad music business experience having worked in many different capacities within the industry for 18 years, particularly focusing on music publishing concerns since 1988. As Managing Director of Anxious Music, the music publishing company launched by David A. Stewart, Mr. Hope built a substantial music catalogue that was sold to Universal in 1999. In 2000, He joined Edel Publishing as Managing Director (United Kingdom) and Vice President International. Here, he was responsible for the creation of the United Kingdom-based company and the development of European publishing affiliates. This catalogue was sold to Warner/Chappell in 2003. In addition to music publishing, Mr. Hope has worked as a record producer, re-mixer, artist manager and music supervisor. He also lectured for the University of Westminster's degree-level Music Business course.
